Easter Sunday at Lakewood UMC

What a glorious Easter celebration it was!   As always, our pastor, Rev. Dr. Gayle Landis, provided us with an amazing sermon.  Music for the day included the talents of two trumpeteers, our handbell choir, our choir director and organist, John Gill, on the organ, Sally Hoover on piano and our sanctuary choir!  And, as is traditional, the Lakewood UMC Easter service always ends with an invitation to anyone in the congregation would would like to join the choir in singing "The Hallelujah Choir" from "Handel's Messiah."

Handbell Sunday at LUMC

Following a wonderful service this morning, we shared a soup and chili meal in fellowship hall!

So many choices of soups, chili, sides and desserts, and delightful fellowship, too!
